The venerable global apparel retailer, Uniqlo, has unveiled a collection of five resplendent T-shirts for their ongoing 'Peace For All' charity project! The collection boasts magnificent graphics specially crafted for this endeavour by illustrious collaborators, including none other than tennis legend Roger Federer and the late Dick Bruna, the esteemed creator of Miffy.
Since its inception in June of last year, the 'Peace For All' project has sold over a million T-shirts worldwide, and all profits from their sale are donated to charitable organizations that aid those affected by poverty, discrimination, violence, and conflict worldwide. UNHCR, Save the Children, and Plan International are among the international aid organizations that have benefitted from the project's donations, which have thus far amounted to nearly RM10 million.
Through the project's generous donations, initiatives such as self-reliance projects for Rohingya women refugees in Bangladesh, educational support for displaced Syrian children and vulnerable Lebanese children in North Lebanon, and a campaign to eliminate child early and forced marriage in Vietnam are being championed.
Indeed, the PEACE FOR ALL charity project was founded on the premise that a simple T-shirt can contribute towards making our world a better place. Beyond the donations, Uniqlo believes that T-shirts hold the potential to convey a wearer's ideas, foster empathy, and spread messages of hope and goodwill far and wide. The latest designs will be made available for purchase in Malaysia from Friday, April 21st.
