Introducing the latest Bell & Ross BR 05 Artline Dragon
Bell & Ross continues its mission to provide innovative and risk-taking urban timepieces.
Not one to shy away from creative challenges, Bell & Ross ventures into uncharted territory by embracing the aesthetic expression associated with engraving with its BR 05 Artline model, namely BR 05 Artline Dragon. Precise line work, which convincingly manipulates light and shadow with each varying stroke, is crucial for a masterpiece to appear realistic. While dragons in Asian mythologies represent a powerful symbol of good fortune, in popular culture, motifs of the winged, flying, scaly creature have never ceased to amaze and inspire artists.
With that in mind, Bell & Ross has used highly symbolic natural elements, like the sun and moon, and references to flora and fauna, like the swallow motif, to convey the cultural and spiritual meaning of the watch. The BR 05 Artline Dragon maintains the collection’s signature of a four-screw-attached bezel with rounded corners while bringing the motif to life. As if that weren’t daring enough, the avant-garde watch also makes sure that the readability of the time is not obstructed.
Aside from tradition, Bell & Ross takes inspiration from the intricate art of engraving. The BR 05 Artline Dragon uses a state-of-the-art laser to create precise prints on the case as well as the links on the integrated bracelet. Before assembly, each link is painstakingly etched, requiring a high level of accuracy to ensure design coherence. Powered by the BR.CAL-302 self-winding mechanical movement that provides a 54-hour power reserve, the extraordinary watch is produced exclusively in a small edition of 99 pieces.
