While bold and bright colours usually steal the fashion spotlight, Piccioli shakes things up by moving away from the predictable pink of the previous season. This time, he embraces a more subdued palette of black, navy, and grey. The shift isn't just about changing colours; it's a deliberate move to go beyond surface-level symbols and get to the core of what it truly means to be a man in today's world.
Shaking off the shackles of clich&eacute;d gender norms, Piccioli opts for a neutral palette as the starting point for an engaging dialogue on fluidity and grace. Ditching the flamboyance that often steals the show on the Met Gala red carpet, he leans into classic tailoring with a rebellious edge. Out go the rigid structures and sharp lines, making room for easy-going silhouettes and generous proportions. Once considered a traditionally feminine hue, blue made a transformative journey in the past century, now symbolizing maleness. For Piccioli, though, blue goes beyond gendered associations &ndash; it embodies freedom. Specifically, the shade "sky blue" becomes a metaphor for unrestricted thinking, where believing the sky is the limit takes on a literal significance. This play of contrasts unfolds in the classic masculine wardrobe elements like suiting and tailoring, set against the backdrop of fluidity and delicacy found in bold colours such as pink, blue, green, and orange.
