From their 2025-26 TREASURE TOUR [PULSE ON] in Asia to their coming 6th anniversary, TREASURE is taking the world by storm and in it stands the indomitable and charming ASAHI.

There&rsquo;s an unforced calm to ASAHI &mdash; one that doesn&rsquo;t compete for attention, yet lingers long after and captures the hearts of TREASURE MAKER (TREASURE&rsquo;s official fandom). As one of TREASURE&rsquo;s key creative minds, the artist approaches music less like a performance and more like a quiet process of translation: emotion into melody, instinct into sound.
Whether a track begins with a beat, a theme or a fleeting feeling, his method resists formula, much like his persona. Offstage, ASAHI gravitates towards simplicity with clean lines, dim lighting, and a mood that mirrors his inner world. Onstage, however, he is the very epitome of boldness and transformation, stepping into concept-driven looks and performances that feel worlds apart from his everyday self. It&rsquo;s this tension between restraint and expression that defines him: an artist who is ever evolving, but always deeply felt.
This was evident during our time spent with him for the cover shoot, a calm, yet powerful presence that always shines the brightest when he is on stage and in front of the camera. Hitting every angle and pose with precision, charm and alluring gaze, ASAHI shows us why he is worthy of the spotlight.

You&rsquo;ve written and composed multiple songs for TREASURE. When you write or produce music, where do your ideas usually begin&mdash;melody, lyrics, or emotion?
Sometimes it starts with the beat, sometimes with a theme, and other times with the melody. I think it&rsquo;s different for every song.
What kind of musical sound or concept would you like to explore with TREASURE in the future? 
I want to keep enjoying music as we do now, while showing new sides of TREASURE each time.&nbsp;
Who do you look up to as a source of inspiration and a role model?&nbsp;
There are so many artists I admire, but these days I especially think Jack Antonoff, who is both a producer and a singer, is really amazing.

TREASURE is currently meeting fans through their Asia tour and will be performing in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and Singapore until May 2026. What are you most looking forward to about performing in these cities? 
I always look forward to trying different foods in each city. I don&rsquo;t take it for granted that we get to visit so many places through such great opportunities, so I really want to experience and enjoy the atmosphere of each place as much as possible.
While preparing for and carrying out the tour and concerts, is there a role you naturally take on among the members &mdash; like a mood-maker or problem solver? 
Since the members usually share great ideas, I tend to observe most of the time. But if there&rsquo;s something I feel needs to be said, that&rsquo;s when I speak up.
You perform the same songs daily during the tour. How do you keep the performances fresh and emotionally engaging for yourself? 
I think we keep things fresh through rearranging the songs and changes in outfits. More than anything, the fans&rsquo; cheers and reactions are always different, and that itself makes each stage feel special.

You&rsquo;re known for your distinctive stage presence. How would you describe your personal fashion style on stage versus off stage? 
On stage, since we&rsquo;re under lights and want the performance to stand out, I tend to wear outfits with bold details or pieces that match the concept. Off stage, I prefer a simpler and classic style.
TREASURE will celebrate their 6th debut anniversary this August. Looking back, what has been the most meaningful moment, and what is a dream you want to achieve as a group?
It&rsquo;s hard to pick just one moment &mdash; everything so far has been meaningful. Especially performing at Kyocera Dome for the first time after COVID ended is a moment I&rsquo;ll always cherish. As a team, our goal is to keep moving forward together, just like we always have, and go as far as we can.
You&rsquo;ve had a long journey from trainee days to now. If you could give advice to your debut-era self, what would you say? 
Congratulations on your debut. Be grateful to the people around you, and just live as yourself.

If you could describe TREASURE&rsquo;s past six years in one word, what would it be and why?
&ldquo;Voyage.&rdquo; It feels like ten of us are on a ship, going on an adventure to discover different islands.
What is your biggest source of motivation as an artist?
It&rsquo;s definitely the voices of our fans. When we started promoting YELLOW, I was worried whether people would like the song, but seeing the positive response from fans made me feel relieved.
Aside from music and fashion, is there anything you&rsquo;ve been into lately?
Recently, I&rsquo;ve gotten back into watching football. I especially enjoy watching matches in the morning while having a cup of coffee.

I&rsquo;ve heard your studio has a very unique atmosphere. What&rsquo;s one detail that best represents you right now?
Whether it&rsquo;s my studio or my living space, I pay a lot of attention to the shape and brightness of lighting. I think a mood with lighting that isn&rsquo;t too bright represents me well.
