Porsche Malaysia hosts the Porsche World Roadshow at Sepang International Circuit
New all-electric models steal the spotlight at the roadshow.
Porsche dreamers and Automobile fans in the city are in for a treat: Porsche Malaysia, represented by Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), is bringing the Porsche World Roadshow (PWRS) to Sepang International Circuit from 20 June to 29 June. This ultimate driving experience, led by international Porsche instructors, allows participants to test out acceleration, braking, and slalom on the racetrack as well as off-road.
A wide array of Porsche models are at the roadshow for the guided driving experience, including the 911 Targa 4 GTS, 911 Turbo S, 911 GT3 RS, 718 Cayman GT4 RS, Spyder RS, Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, Macan GTS, new Panamera, new Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo. However, the real stars of the show go to the new all-electric Taycan and Macan.
“We are thrilled to host PWRS in Malaysia as it offers a truly extraordinary driving experience for Porsche dreamers, fully immersing in sports car fascination. It offers an exclusive opportunity to experience the full potential of these high-performance machines, providing a real taste of adrenaline and the incomparable Porsche DNA,” shares Christopher Hunter, Chief Executive Officer of Sime Darby Auto Performance.
Making their debut at the PWRS, the new Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo now have more power, more range, accelerate quicker and charge faster with greater stability. All updated models accelerate faster than their predecessors. For example, the sports sedans. The Taycan and Taycan Turbo S reach the 100 km/h mark from a standstill in just 4.8 and 2.4 seconds respectively, making them 0.6 and 0.4 seconds faster than their predecessors.
Depending on the body variant and engine, the WLTP range has increased by up to 175 km, reaching up to 678 km—an improvement of 35%. The new Taycan requires fewer charging stops on long trips and recharges faster at 800-volt DC charging stations.
The new Porsche Taycan models are now available for booking and will be available at Porsche Centres nationwide starting from July 2024 with prices starting from RM575,000.
The PWRS also offers an exclusive glimpse at the new all-electric Porsche Macan ahead of its official launch. The Macan 4 and Macan Turbo – Porsche’s second generation of compact SUVs – comes in the brand’s signature design and outstanding performance that are ideal for everyday practicality and luxury.
